- [feature](/changelog/tag/feature/)

## [Find Sign Makers Pro is now included with your Sign Customiser subscription](/changelog/find-sign-makers-pro-listing-links/)

You can now link a ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers listing to your Store. ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro is then included with your Sign Customiser subscription. Linking started on 17 September 2026. Our [16 September entry](/changelog/find-sign-makers-pro/) gives both ways to get Pro.

## What’s Changed

- **Linking is live**![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro is included with an active paid Sign Customiser subscription when your listing is linked and publicly verified. Not on trial or the Development plan. It ends when the subscription ends or the listing is unlinked.
- **Link from your admin**Open the ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro page of your Sign Customiser admin. Select “Link a listing”. Search for the business name. Only the Store owner or a company owner can link a listing.
- **The manufacturer agrees by email**We send a one-time link to the email address on the listing. The manufacturer accepts it while signed in to ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers. The link expires after 7 days.
- **A followed website link**The website link on a Pro profile is a followed (dofollow) link. We do not promise a change to your search rank.
- **You can still buy Pro on its own**A manufacturer without a linked Store can buy Pro for USD 100 per year. No tax is added.
- **Manufacturing Partners is a different programme**A Sign Customiser subscription includes ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro. It does not include Manufacturing Partners.

- [AI Sign Designer](/changelog/tag/ai-sign-designer/)

## [AI Sign Designer V2 shows customers each step as it makes their design](/changelog/ai-designer-build-progress/)

When a customer uploads an image to AI Sign Designer V2, they see an animated drawing of a sign while the design is made. The layers of the sign move into position step by step. A short message shows what occurs at each step. If the design fails, the customer can try again or upload a different image. You can also let the customer send the image to your team with your fallback form.

![AI Sign Designer V2 loader: the sign drawing moves from Reading your image to Designing your sign, where three parts appear one after another, then to Refining your design and Putting it all together, and then the finished neon design opens](/blog/uploads/ai-sign-designer-v2-build-loader.gif)

## What customers see

- **Reading your image**A base panel and a dashed outline of the design move slowly up and down.
- **Designing your sign**The three parts of the design appear one after another, in approximately four seconds.
- **Refining your design**If the design takes more than one minute, the message shows that detailed images take more time.
- **Putting it all together**The layers move together and become bright. Then the customiser shows the finished design.

On desktop, the message **Your image is saved. Keep this page open.** shows below the progress bar while the design is made.

To change the **Reading your image** message and the messages that show when a design fails, open **Custom Designs**. In the **Language** section, use **Upload pending title**, **Upload pending description**, **Upload failed title**, **Upload failed description**, **Failed upload text on desktop**, **Failed upload text on mobile**, **Refused design title**, **Refused design message**, **Form request button** and **Try another image button**. You cannot change the messages for the other steps.

## When a design fails

![Refused design screen with the message We can't make this one automatically, and the fallback form open with the customer's original image attached](/_astro/changelog-ai-designer-build-progress-failed.Bba4_oCU_1PgSCj.webp)

- **A design that cannot be made**Sometimes our checks refuse a design. Then the customer sees **We can’t make this one automatically**, and your **Fallback Form** opens with the customer’s original image attached. The customer can also select **Try again** or **Use another image**.
- **Other failures**After a different failure, such as an error or a time-out, the customer can select **Try again** to use the same image again. They can select **Use another image** to upload a different image. They can also select **Submit as a form request** to open your fallback form with the image attached.
- **Your fallback form**These form options need a **Fallback Form** that has a File Upload field. Select it in **Custom Designs**. The setting **Send designs that cannot be made automatically to the fallback form** is on by default for all customisers. For more information, see [Refused AI designs now go to your fallback form](/changelog/ai-designer-fallback-form-by-default/).
- **No credit used**A failed design does not use an AI credit. AI Sign Designer V2 uses one AI credit only when it delivers a design.

## [More reliable inch and pound figures across Sign Customiser](/changelog/more-reliable-inch-and-pound-figures/)

Sign Customiser now handles inch and pound Stores more reliably. Whole inches stay whole after you save and reload. Volumetric divisors show one number with a full unit label on every screen. Product dimensions in emails and exports use exact inch arithmetic. Minimum size limits in the admin follow your Store length unit.

## What’s Changed

- **Whole inches stay whole**Type 31 inches in the merchant admin. You see 31 after reload, not 30.999.
- **One divisor number everywhere**The length-pricing form, size-boundary editor, shipping warning modal and customer price breakdown show the same volumetric divisor for your Store unit pair.
- **Full divisor labels**Every volumetric divisor shows its complete unit. Examples are cm³/kg, in³/kg, cm³/lb, and in³/lb.
- **Clearer parcel mode names**Volumetric parcel labels no longer suggest an imperial number when the figure is metric.
- **Exact inch dimensions in output**Order emails, exports, and product detail use exact inch arithmetic for displayed dimensions.
- **Minimum sizes in your Store unit**Font, icon, and colour minimum sizes display in centimetres or inches to match your Store setting.
- **Drafts follow your Store units**Unsaved admin forms re-project values when your Store units change.
- **Shopify pounds for pound Stores**This is a staged rollout. Sign Customiser enables pounds for add-weight-to-product on pound Stores after verification.
- **Metric Stores unchanged**Centimetre and kilogram Stores see no change to existing numbers.

## [Find Sign Makers Pro is included with your Sign Customiser subscription, or costs USD 100 per year](/changelog/find-sign-makers-pro/)

![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers is our global directory of sign manufacturers. A listing is free. ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro is the paid level of the directory. There are two ways to get Pro. Link your listing to an active paid Sign Customiser subscription, or buy Pro on its own for USD 100 per year. Our [![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers page](/find-sign-makers/) gives the details.

## What’s Changed

- **Pro is included with your Sign Customiser subscription**![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro is included with an active paid Sign Customiser subscription when your listing is linked and publicly verified. Not on trial or the Development plan. It ends when the subscription ends or the listing is unlinked.
- **Link your listing from your admin**The Store owner links the listing from the ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro page of their Sign Customiser admin. We send a one-time link to the email address on that listing. The manufacturer accepts the link while signed in to the ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers account. The link expires after 7 days. Only a claimed listing can be linked.
- **Or buy Pro on its own**Pro costs USD 100 per year. No tax is added. The subscription renews each year. A listing that is linked to a subscribing Store has nothing to buy.
- **Public verification comes first**You must have a publicly verified profile before you can buy or receive Pro. That means a verification record and a completeness score of 90 or more. Verification is free and stays free.
- **What a Pro profile gets**A Pro profile is matched first for quote requests. It is put above free profiles on every listing page. The Pro badge shows on the profile and on its listing rows. Its website link is a followed (dofollow) link. It shows the project gallery, the email address and the telephone number. The placement and the Pro badge need a publicly verified profile.
- **What a free profile shows**A free profile shows no project gallery, no email address and no telephone number. It shows a note that these show only on Pro profiles. It keeps its website link, and that link is nofollow. We do not promise a change to your search rank.
- **Register in the directory**The ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers page links to the registration page on findsignmakers.com. It does not link to a Google Form.
- **Manufacturing Partners is a different programme**A Sign Customiser subscription includes ![](/brand/find-sign-makers-mark.svg)Find Sign Makers Pro. It does not include Manufacturing Partners. The [Manufacturing Partners page](/manufacturer-registration/) says so too.

- [AI Sign Designer](/changelog/tag/ai-sign-designer/)

## [Monthly AI plan credits and larger credit packs](/changelog/monthly-ai-plan-credits-and-larger-credit-packs/)

Current ladder plans now include AI plan credits each month. Your Store can use the AI Sign Designer before you buy extra credits. AI purchased credit packs also contain twice as many credits as before.

## What’s Changed

- **Get monthly AI plan credits.** Seed includes 15 credits. Growth plans include 25, 50, 75, 100, or 125. Ultimate includes 150.
- **Keep the same yearly allowance.** A yearly plan receives the same monthly allowance as its monthly equivalent.
- **See when credits reset.** AI plan credits reset on your monthly billing anniversary and do not roll over.
- **Keep AI purchased credits.** Sign Customiser uses AI plan credits first. AI purchased credits never expire.
- **Get twice the credits per pack.** Buy 40 AI purchased credits for $12, 120 for $30, or 400 for $90.
- **See each balance.** The AI Credits card shows both balances and your next AI plan credit reset date.

## [Custom design upload and visualiser improvements](/changelog/custom-design-file-upload-improvements/)

The desktop visualiser now shows uploaded designs large and centred. When scene backgrounds are available, it shows the selected scene behind them. Custom design forms also accept WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP files. Shoppers get a clear message when a file type is not supported.

![Two uploaded designs centred on a marble scene background in the custom design visualiser](/_astro/changelog-custom-design-file-upload-improvements-visualiser.DYY1ShuM_ZJOmNs.webp)![Custom design form showing an accepted WebP upload](/_astro/changelog-custom-design-file-upload-improvements-form.DAncVIg5_ZuNn75.webp)

## What’s Changed

- **Show uploads on the stage.** Display accepted images large and centred in the visualiser. Arrange multiple uploads side by side and show the file name below each preview.
- **Use scene backgrounds.** Display the selected scene behind uploaded designs. Show background choices on desktop when a merchant enables more than one scene background. Do not show these choices for lightbox customisers.
- **Accept more image files.** Accept WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP uploads on every custom design form. Keep each file in the shopper’s original format.
- **Show clear file errors.** Show a merchant-editable message on the file field when a file type is not supported. Keep the general submission error for other failures.
- **Show document file types.** Show an extension badge for PDF, AI and EPS files when an image preview is not available.
- **Cover every custom design form.** Apply the upload and preview improvements to customisers with custom design forms for every sign product type.

## [Default scene background sizing and product image fixes](/changelog/default-scene-background-sizing/)

Sign Customiser keeps the built-in blue/grey background consistent for compatible sign customisers. Select it and enable “Use the selected background in the product image” to carry it into cart and order product images. Enter a positive real width to scale the visualiser and Review screen, then use the same option to scale the cart and order image. Without saved dimensions, the sign keeps its usual fit, while an enabled product-image option still uses the selected built-in colour.

![Scene Editor showing default background size fields and visualiser scaling](/_astro/changelog-default-scene-background-sizing.U1OGhlsQ_Z2iRJfe.webp)

## What’s Changed

- **Set the default background size.** In the Scene Editor, enter a positive width under “Display default blue/gray background image”. You can also save a height, but the width drives proportional scaling. The fields show when preview or Review images and the default background are enabled. “Scale visualisation with size” must be on, and Drag, Scale and Rotate must be off. They start blank, with 300 cm as a recommended placeholder.
- **Scale every preview consistently.** With “Scale visualisation with size” on and a positive default background width, the visualiser and Review screen scale the sign against the built-in background. Enable “Use the selected background in the product image” for compatible customisers to scale cart and order product images too. Leave the fields blank to keep the usual fit.
- **Keep product images on the chosen backdrop.** With “Use the selected background in the product image” enabled, supported non-Lightbox Konva customisers show the selected built-in background as a flat colour in product images. This includes Neon, Channel, cut-out, stencil and wooden sign types. This replaces the previous fallback image, including the demonstration photo when no Main Product Image is configured.
- **Keep Material Length sizes in order.** Advanced Letter (Material Length) customisers with an unset size limit no longer show Medium or Large smaller than Small on backgrounds without dimensions. The Small preview stays the same.

## [Export quote PDFs from your Quotes inbox](/changelog/export-quote-pdfs-from-your-quotes-inbox/)

Sign Customiser now turns every quote request and custom design submission into a PDF your team can save, share or use while preparing a price. The redesigned Quotes inbox puts the customer’s details, answers, design choices and files on one clear page, so there is less digging when it is time to follow up.

![Form submission detail page showing customer answers, two artwork uploads, Resend Email and Download Quote](/_astro/changelog-quotes-inbox.DPDDr9Ps_ZJu80Q.webp)

Download Quote carries the same information into a document that is ready to share or keep with the job.

![Exported form submission PDF showing the summary, product selections, customer responses and two uploaded pictures](/_astro/changelog-quote-pdf-export.TczzYb-u_1cvavC.webp)

## What’s Changed

- **Download a complete quote PDF**Use Download Quote on any quote request or custom design submission to create a document with the information your customer supplied.
- **See customer pictures in the document**The PDF includes compatible uploaded pictures alongside the submission details. Every attached file is still listed, even when it cannot be displayed as an image.
- **Find the full enquiry in one place**Contact details, form answers, product selections, quoted price, design preview and files are grouped into clear sections when they are available.
- **Work through quotes faster**The simpler Quotes inbox has clearer filters, compact rows and direct links to each submission, with Resend Email and Download Quote ready on the detail page.
- **Keep original files within reach**Preview and download customer uploads from the submission page when your team needs the source artwork.

## [Access all your quotes via the API](/changelog/read-past-quote-requests-over-the-api/)

Until now the only automatic export for quote requests was the `form:submitted` webhook, which sends each enquiry once, as it arrives. If you connected your CRM after the enquiries came in, or a delivery was missed, that history stayed in your admin. The Sign Customiser API can now read it back, and it is the path we recommend for new integrations.

## What’s Changed

- **Your quote history is available**The new quotes endpoint returns the quote requests and custom design submissions your store has collected, newest first, so an integration set up today can still import everything that came before it.
- **Quotes and custom designs in one place**Both kinds of submission come back from the same endpoint, each labelled with its type, matching the Quotes page in your admin.
- **Filter to the pipeline you want**Narrow the list by customiser, by form, by submission type, or to a date range, so a multi-product store can route enquiries to different teams.
- **Answers as your customer gave them**Each submission carries the question labels that were on the form when it was filled in, so renaming or removing a question later never rewrites your history.
- **Attachments included**Customer uploads, product previews and generated design files come back as their own list, with the original filename and a working download link.
- **Design details on quote requests**Quote Mode enquiries also return the options the customer chose and the price they were quoted, alongside their answers.
- **A separate permission**Reading submissions needs its own `quotes:read` scope on your API key. A key that only manages your customisers cannot see customer contact details or uploads.

The `form:submitted` webhook keeps working and keeps firing on every new submission, but it is now the legacy export path and is deprecated in favour of the API. Nothing you have set up will stop working, and there is no cut-off date. If you are building something new, read from the API instead.

Your Quotes page now links straight to the reference for this endpoint. Quote requests sent to a form that was deleted a long time ago may not be readable, because the platform kept no proof of which store owned them.
