Currency converter app integrations
Up until now, we didnt have great support for other currency conversion apps, we would previously recommend Shopify Markets to replace these apps, Shopify markets is still the best solution to use on your Shopify store, but Shopify has not granted all stores around the world with the ability to use this feature.
Starting today, we have launched a new update that provides first-class support for two of the most popular currency conversion apps on the Shopify app store, that being Vitals and Best Currency Converter
You can take full advantage of these currency conversion capabilities and have the live prices displayed on Sign Customiser converted and displayed to the customer’s currency of choice.

Data retrieval speed improvement
Starting today, the time it takes for our app to become usable for the customer has been reduced by an average of 150 percent. This huge performance gain can be attributed to clever data caching and leveraging the best of Cloudflares technologies to ensure global network traffic is routed in the most efficient way possible.
Our app data is highly dynamic, and we needed to create a solution that would be reliable but also able to respond to changes to the data instantly, after months of testing different solutions, we are pretty proud of the work that went into this and really happy with the performance improvement.
The end result is customers are now able to use our app in a noticeably faster time which should translate to better sale conversions for your store. -
New RGB Flow effect
You can now visually display a flowing RGB effect that matches more closely to advanced LED tubing that allows 100s of different modes in real life.

- Click on “Required Options” and then “Colors”

- On the “Color Effect” input, select “Flow”

Font table display as opened or closed on desktop
You can now choose to display the entire table of fonts on the initial load or hide until clicked via dropdown.
We have also improved the app performance by only loading the first font selected and any other font that are visible in the viewport, since font file sizes can be anywhere from 20kb to 500kb this can make it much faster for our app to become usable, especially for users on slower internet connection speeds.

Enable font file compression on affected font file
An issue where devices with windows OS that uploaded font files would cause a missing mime type was found. This missing mime type meant our network could not compress the file previously. A font file could be anywhere on average from 20kb to 500kb in file size, our app may load 10 - 30 fonts - these uncompressed files were causing an impact on page speed.
We have addressed this issue by updating all existing font files that were affected to ensure they can now be compressed and provided a fix to the font upload form on our app to prevent missing mime types from occurring again.
-
Add a discounted price on your custom signs
You can now display the “discounted price” next to the “original price” for your custom signs. Using this feature will let the customer instantly see the original and discounted price.
Using this feature allows you to apply a discounted percentage or a fixed amount that will be applied to the original price. Both the discounted and original amounts will be displayed together on the app.The discounted price displayed to the customer will become the final product price when added to the cart.
More info on how discounting works can be found here by viewing this article.
-
New mobile view
You can now display all the options for your sign customiser on mobile to display as stacked options one over the other, rather than viewing an individual option per step.
This new mobile view provides the following
- A natural verticle scroll behaviour for your customers to view all options quickly on mobile
- The sign visualizer on mobile can be set to display as “fixed on scroll” which allows it to stay in view as the customer selects different options.
- The add to cart button can be set to “fixed on scroll” which allows it to stay in view as the customer scrolls up and down the page.
