What is stencil sign design software?
Stencil sign design software lets a sign shop sell cut stencil sheets through its own website. In Sign Customiser, customers choose a letter height first, edit their text, and see the finished bordered sheet size and price update before they order.
How does stencil sheet sizing work?
The letter height drives the design. As customers change the text, the customiser recalculates the finished sheet width and height, including the border around the cut lettering, so the quoted size stays visible throughout the order.
Can customers choose exact letter heights?
Yes. Preset letter-height tiers remain visible. When the merchant enables it, an Exact letter height input appears alongside them.
Are the starter fonts safe for stencil cutting?
The seeded starter stencil faces use bridges so letter centres stay attached when cut. Do not assume every uploaded font is stencil-safe: fonts not marked as stencil-safe show a warning for review before production.
How can a stencil order be priced?
Combine per-character pricing with optional sheet-band and area rates to match the way your shop quotes stencil work. The customer sees the live price as the text, letter height and finished sheet change.
Which production files are available for stencil orders?
Eligible text-only stencil designs export as physically calibrated flat-path SVGs that are cut-ready. Uploaded or masked artwork can use fallback SVG geometry. DXF is optional and merchant-enabled, and it is available only for eligible flat text-only stencil SVGs. Conversion can fail, so an order may have no DXF.
