Yes. You can use Sign Customiser when another company manufactures your signs. When a paid order is created, Sign Customiser can automatically send the order email to the supplier address configured for that customiser.

The supplier receives an ordinary email and does not need a Sign Customiser account. You keep control of the customer, supplier relationship, approval process and delivery.

How outsourced production works

  1. The customer designs and orders the sign on your website.

  2. Sign Customiser records the sign text, dimensions, materials, colours, backboard, mounting and other selected options.

  3. The order email goes to the recipient set for that customiser. This can be an outside supplier, your own production team or your inbox for approval first.

  4. The email can include the sign preview and available SVG, EPS, Illustrator-compatible PDF or DXF links, depending on the sign type and your file settings.

Each customiser has its own recipient and email template. If different product lines go to different suppliers, use separate customisers and route each one to the right address.

Modify Email Template

Every customiser you create using our app has its own email template, which you can modify specifically for that customiser.

To modify the manufacturer email template do the following:

  1. Navigate to the admin of Sign Customiser for your store

  2. Click on “Customisers” in the home menu

  3. Click on the customiser you wish to edit

  4. Click on “Manufacturer email” in the left-hand side menu

  5. In this admin section you will be able to change the email address for manufacturer emails for instructions on how to do so follow this guide. Change email address for manufacturer emails

  6. You can now change the contents of the email template by modifying the content in the “Manufacturer email template”. This input uses mustache for logicless template that allows you to include HTML and the manufacturer email specific variables.

  7. Click save at the bottom of the form once you are done.
