How do I set a password if I signed up with Google?
Last updated:
You can sign in to the Sign Customiser merchant admin with Google or with your email address and password.
If you created your account with Google, you can add a password to the same account. Google sign-in will still work afterwards.
Sign in with Google
-
Open the Sign Customiser login page.
-
Select Sign in with Google.
-
Choose the Google account linked to your Sign Customiser account.
Sign in with email and password
-
Open the Sign Customiser login page.
-
Enter your email address and password.
-
Select Log in.
Set a password for an account created with Google
An account created with Google may not have a current password. If Profile Settings asks for your Current Password and you have never set one, do not use that form. Sign out and use Forgot your password? on the login page instead.
Follow the reset password steps below. They set the first password on your existing account.
Setting a password adds email and password as another way to sign in. It does not remove Google sign-in.
Reset password
Important
Use the exact email address for the account you want to access. A reset for an older account or a different email address will not change the password for the account you need.
-
Open the Sign Customiser login page.
-
Select Forgot your password?
-
Enter the exact email address for the account you want to access.
-
Select Email Password Reset Link.
-
Open the latest password reset email and use its link within 60 minutes.
-
On the Reset Password page, type the same email address again. The reset link does not fill in the email field.
-
Enter and confirm your new password, then select Reset Password.
Password reset links expire after 60 minutes. If a link has expired, return to the login page and request a new one. An expired link does not mean there is a problem with password reset.
