Sign Customiser

Enable right-to-left layout separately from translation on Shopify and Universal, then test the live integration and font coverage.

Last updated:

Publishing Arabic, Hebrew or another right-to-left language does not turn on right-to-left layout. Translation and text direction are separate settings.

Shopify

  1. Publish the target language in Sign Customiser.

  2. Open the Shopify theme template that contains the Sign Customiser block.

  3. Enable Use Right-to-Left (RTL) format for that block.

  4. Confirm the surrounding Shopify theme also uses the correct direction for the target Store language.

  5. Test the live Store language route.

Add rtl=true to the hosted or embed URL. When the URL already has another setting, join it with &:

HTML
<iframe src="https://web.signcustomiser.com/embed/YOUR_CUSTOMISER_ID?language_code=ar&rtl=true" style="width:100%; height:700px"></iframe>

For the supported custom element:

code
<sign-customiser-embed customiser-id="YOUR_CUSTOMISER_ID" language-code="ar" rtl="true"></sign-customiser-embed>

Check the live integration

RTL changes layout direction. It does not translate text. Test the live integration because the host theme can affect direction differently from the admin preview.

Also check every selected font contains the characters needed for the target script. A translated interface does not add missing font glyphs.

See Choose the customiser language on Shopify and Universal for language selection and fallback. For neon font checks, see Check if a font is suitable for neon sign manufacturing.
