Choose how to install Sign Customiser on Shopify

Use this page to find the setup guide for the page where you want to show Sign Customiser.

Check your Shopify theme

In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find your current theme. Then select Edit theme.
Open the page or product template that will show Sign Customiser.
Select Add section > Apps. Sign Customiser appears in the list when the app is installed.

Use Install Sign Customiser in a Shopify theme with an app block.

This is the standard setup for a compatible Shopify theme.

The Apps list can also show Sign Customiser Modal. This block puts a button on the page. When a shopper selects the button, the customiser opens in a pop-up.

To use the pop-up, follow the same guide. In Step 2, select Sign Customiser Modal instead of Sign Customiser. Then enter your Sign Customiser ID in the block settings.

The template opens, but Sign Customiser does not appear

Use Install Sign Customiser in a Shopify theme without app blocks.

Choose this guide for:

Custom Liquid templates.
Page builders that process Shopify Liquid.
Templates without an app-block location.

The storefront is not built with a Shopify theme

Use Install Sign Customiser on a headless Shopify storefront.

Choose this guide only when a developer deploys the storefront separately from Shopify’s theme system, such as Hydrogen or Next.js.

A custom Liquid template is not a headless storefront.
